Q: Where does the band get ideas for older songs to play?
A: The band gets material from a variety of sources. Sometimes, a band member will bring in a favorite song from an old record, or they will hear a song from an older band that is new to Stoney Creek. Sometimes, songs are requested or suggested by fans. These are usually well-known classics that have already been covered by many other bands, but we try to include them anyway - at least in our live sets and occasionally on record if the songs get a strong crowd response.
Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band features Libby Files (bass, vocals), Bob Simmers (mandolin, vocals), Ed Barney (guitar, vocals), and Darrell Sanders (banjo, dobro, vocals). Stoney Creek's newest album "Are You Ready?" was released in 2012 and is in rotation on bluegrass and gospel radio across the U.S. You can check out Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band on our Official Site or Facebook.
